Why

Not just a food truck, but a “ryotei on wheels.”

  1. 01

Conveying the craft and care of a ryotei

Owner Shusaku Toyama draws on the skills and dedication developed at a ryotei, a traditional Japanese fine dining restaurant, to offer its flavors at accessible prices from a food truck. The website needed to communicate that background.

  2. 02

    Going beyond mobile food sales

The aim was a ryotei on wheels: a food truck that offers a complete brand experience.

  3. 03

Turning visits into orders online, too

The website needed to function as a place to generate orders alongside the food truck itself.

How

Working alongside the client from the business concept, expressing the integrity of handcraft through words and user flow.

From the logo and vehicle design to the website, we worked alongside the client from the business-planning stage. The “integrity of handcraft” and the care behind the food are expressed in every element — visuals, words, and user flow.

01 Words

Telling the story of the owner's dedication and how the business began.

On the website, we carefully turned the owner’s commitment to his food and the story of how the business started into content.

02 Calligraphy and photography

Conveying the appeal of the food through calligraphy and copy.

We also handled the copywriting, calligraphy, and photo direction, creating visuals that bring out the appeal of the food.

What

The site brings in many boxed-lunch delivery orders and has become a pillar of the business.
