Conveying the charm unique to Kinosaki
Named in poetry of the Heian period and beloved by many writers, Kinosaki has a steam-veiled charm that guests needed to feel through the screen.

A classic atmosphere, without relying on ornament
Excessive decoration and interface elements would spoil the atmosphere of the inn. The task was to deliver Kinosaki’s classic atmosphere just as it is.

Building up “reasons to stay here”
History, hospitality, seasonal flavors, the tour of the town’s public baths. The local context and the inn’s appeal needed to be presented in an order that reveals more the further one reads.

We treated the website as the beginning of the guest experience, keeping decoration and interface elements restrained to convey the atmosphere of Kinosaki.
